Who we are

The Family Ledger is published by Multi-Threaded LLC.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account and no sign-in, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDK. It sends nothing to a server we operate.

Where your data lives

On your device, and in your own iCloud account when iCloud is on. We cannot access it. The budget you last opened follows you between your devices through iCloud.

Sharing a budget

A budget is shared only when you invite someone. The people in a shared budget see its records, receipt photos included, and each other's names. When the owner removes someone, iCloud deletes their copy at their next sync.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only to scan or photograph receipts, and receipt text is read on the device. A photo you pick from your library reaches the app, nothing else in the library does. Receipt photos are stored with the budget and sync and share with it.

Face ID

Handled by iOS. The app learns only whether unlocking succeeded.

Files you import and export

Bank statements are read from the file you pick. Exports are written where you choose and leave your device only if you share them. An export lists the budget's people by name and role.

Apple's diagnostics

If you turn on sharing with app developers in iOS, Apple gives us aggregate usage and crash data for the app.

Deleting your data

Deleting a budget you own removes it from iCloud and from everyone it is shared with. Leaving a budget someone shared with you removes your access and your copy. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device; your iCloud copy stays until you delete it from iCloud storage in iOS Settings.
